This is a literature review that I created in my HPRB 5410W, Professional Writing for Health Promotion class. It is a summary and analysis of existing findings on high Infant Mortality Rates in African American communities. This project taught me how to review, synthesize, and evaluate scholarly sources. Additionally, I learned how to research and find significant scholarly sources from this project. Moreover, in this literature review I highlight the literature that explains why Infant Mortality is more prominent amongst African American communities.
